After earning his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree in 1978, Dr. Paul Coleman served as a dentist and Commissioned Lieutenant in the US Navy Dental Corp. At the conclusion of his military service, he settled in the San Diego area and started in private practice.
Dr. Coleman has been practicing dentistry in the San Diego area since 1981. He combines comprehensive dentistry with advanced cosmetic dentistry procedures to create beautiful and healthy smiles for his patients. He also provides sedation dentistry and sleep apnea treatment.
He operates on the philosophy of exceeding patients’ expectations and giving them the best care available. Thus he keeps up with the latest developments in advanced dental technologies through extensive continuing education. He has completed advanced cosmetic and restorative training at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI). He has additionally earned credentials in sedation dentistry, comprehensive sleep apnea treatment, TMJ/TMD treatment and non-surgical laser treatment for gum disease.
Dr. Coleman is committed to giving back to the community and is very active in community charities and philanthropic groups. He has received numerous humanitarian awards for his volunteer activities.
Nathan Christensen General and Cosmetic Dentist
Dr. Nathan Christensen is an advocate of biomimetic dentistry (minimally invasive dentistry preserving maximum natural tooth structure). He works hard to stay on top of the latest techniques and advancements in restorative dentistry by dedicating much of his time to continuing education. He has done extensive post- graduate work at UCLA in root canal treatment, he is invisalign certified, has his oral conscious sedation license and completed a two year program in Esthetic Dentistry at the McGann Postgraduate Institute. Dr. Christensen has also dedicated a great deal of time to the study of implant dentistry. His vast experience with implants ranges from single implant surgery and restoration to full mouth implant reconstruction.
When Dr. Christensen is not practicing dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball, running and surfing. He also enjoys volunteering his time to the community, and has been given a humanitarian award for his service to children in Southern California and Belize.

Joel Henriod, DDS., MHS. Periodontist
Dr. Henriod is a periodontist—a specialist who takes care of gum disease and dental implants.
Dr. Henriod received his DDS degree from the renowned UCLA School of Dentistry and was the Chief Resident during his Periodontic Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. Because periodontics is an ever changing field continual learning is a cornerstone of his dental practice.
He’s a Diplomate of the prestigious American Board of Periodontology. He was certified by them after passing a comprehensive and rigorous examination process covering all phases of gum disease and its treatment, including dental implants.
In addition to being board-certified in periodontics, Dr. Henriod is certified in LANAP (laser periodontal surgery), a minimally invasive alternative to regular periodontal surgery (gum disease surgery) and he is certified in oral and IV sedation, as well.
He not only stays on top of the latest gum grafting techniques through continuing education, but he’s also an innovator in minimally invasive gum grafting. Respected by his peers as one of the top periodontists in the area, he teaches periodontists and other dentists about implant surgery, bone grafting techniques and minimally invasive gum grafting. From 2008 to 2012 he made presentations and gave over 80 lectures to dental clinicians around the country.
Dr. Henriod, who was voted Top Dentist two years in a row by readers of Pasadena Magazine, loves making mouths healthier through periodontal treatment and helping fearful patients realize that modern surgical dentistry is more comfortable and less invasive than ever. He is passionate about giving his patients the best care every time he sees them.

Vahik Paul Meserkhani, DDS., MSD., FAAID. Prosthodontist and Implant Specialist
Dr. Vahik Meserkhani began practicing in Southern California in 1991 with an emphasis in Prosthodontics and Implant dentistry. In 2003 he joined Loma Linda University in order to further advance his knowledge in Prosthodontic and Implant Dentistry.
A prosthodontist is a dentist who has taken three additional years of post-graduate education specializing in the restoration of natural teeth and the replacement of missing teeth. Dr. Meserkhani focuses on dental restoration and full-mouth reconstructions, or full smile makeovers. He is well-known for his expert smile restoration and has been featured on Fox TV.
Dr. Meserkhani has been awarded a Diplomate from the American Board of Oral Implantology, the most important and difficult certification in oral implantology, a certification that has been awarded to only 400 dentists in the United States since 1969.
In addition, he is a faculty member of Zimmer Institute, of Esthetic Professionals and of Progressive Dentistry.
Dr. Meserkhani lectures both nationally and internationally on oral implantology, prosthodontics and collaborative dentistry.
